“I grew up here in the summers from 1953 to 1963. My life started in the majestic beauty of Lake Obabika. The lodge and cabins are newer. But the lake and pines and burtch trees are the same. The fishing is awesome. You should go vacation in this wilderness land. Our camp name was : Andy's Camp Obabika (Schuller)”

“My husband and I made the journey up to Lake Obabika Lodge this past weekend. To say we had a 10/10 experience is an understatement. From the minute we stepped out of the truck we were blown away. The property is nestled right on the lakefront with outstanding views of the surrounding forest. Immediately we noticed how beautifully quiet and secluded it was. This lake only has about 6 cottages on it and a Provincial Park at the North end. In our 3 days there we saw 1 other boater. Cell service up here is non-existent, although wifi was available at the main lodge (should you want to reconnect). A true retreat. We stayed a total of 3 nights in Cabin #3 on the American Plan. Our accommodations were clean and tidy, complete with a wood-burning stove for chillier nights. The bathroom was spotless & the water pressure was great (much needed to wash off a long day's work of fishing). The food was absolutely outstanding - breakfast, lunch & a 3-course dinner! Some of the dishes we were spoiled with include: eggs benny on homemade biscuits, homemade strawberry french toast, mango habanero chicken with prawns, beef + pork ribs, strawberry shortcake, & a PB + banana cream pie.The food was SO good I was asleep by 8:30 each night with a full belly and a smile on my face - no energy to even stay up for a campfire. I think I gained a pound each day I was there. We tip our hats to you, Chef Jarrod! We had the privilege of having a guide, Mike, take us out fishing each day. I've been fishing casually my entire life and have n't experienced action like this. We came pretty early in the season but were not disappointed in the slightest. We mainly fished for bass & all 3 days we pulled up bass after bass in the 1.5 - 3.5 lb range (I can only imagine how big they'd be by the end of the season)! Our guide, Mike, knew all the spots to ensure we got tons of action. He even managed to get us to the spot where my husband and I secured our first-ever lake trouts! If you are into bass + lake trout this spot is a MUST visit. Not to mention there are also whitefish, pike & burbot in this lake. We are so incredibly fortunate to have gotten the opportunity to experience Lake Obabika Lodge. Thank you to Chef Jarrod, Mike, Scott, Jill & the kids for making us feel so at home. We will be back (that's a promise)!”

“We spent a “boys” getaway here for 3 nights in September to celebrate my fathers birthday and a return to the lodge for him for the first time after last being there in the 70’s. Kaitlyn and the rest of the staff were so friendly and helpful. The main lodge is very nice with a table set aside for your cabin at meal times. We stayed in cabin 1, and it was perfect for what we needed, (4 adults and 2 young kids). The beds were comfy and the wood stove and second wood burning fireplace provided a great amount of heat in the cooler evenings. We stayed with the American plan and all of us thoroughly enjoyed the food. I can’t say enough about the location, the lodges, the staff and the amenities. The lake is stunning and the fishing is excellent. I can’t wait to return.”

“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Comfortable surroundings, great fishing, amazing people! I had an amazing week-long stay at Lake Obabika Lodge, and I can honestly say it was one of the most restorative vacations I’ve ever had. The fishing was great fun, even though my friends will tell you, and I’ll admit, I wasn’t brave enough to touch the fish I caught myself! What really stood out though, were the people who made the experience so special: Chef Garrett is a star in his own right. His food was simply out of this world; gourmet flavours with the heart and nourishment of a homecooked meal. Every meal was a delight. Gillian and Scott, the housekeeping and property management duo, looked after both the guests and the grounds with such care and dedication. Even their kids sometimes pitched in, showing the same spirit of service and hospitality. Craig, the owner, was an outstanding host...warm, personable, and welcoming. He connected with every guest, always taking time to ask where they were from and making everyone feel at home. The cabins were comfortable, with cozy beds that made it easy to rest well at night. For me, this trip was exactly what I needed: a chance to rest, restore, and reset. As someone who’s often on the go with teaching, speaking, consulting, and coaching, the combination of natural beauty, comfort, and genuine care from the team was priceless. I give Lake Obabika Lodge five stars and can’t wait to come back next year! #lakeobabikalodge”

“August 17 for a full week of fishing. Our 3rd stay there and already booked for next year. Cabins and washrooms in great order, clean and well supplied. New chef this year, amazing buffet breakfasts and dinners with daily specials, great variety and taste, plus fresh cakes and pies for desserts. A box lunch was provided for those who didn’t want to interrupt their fishing. And about the fishing, incredible, it would be very hard to not catch tons in this lake, we did well with 3 1/2-4 1/2 pound small mouth, about 10 nice lake trout and some nice pike. Though other groups put us to shame with the lake trout, one family getting 10 in two hours of fishing. All in all, a great triple again. Thanks to management and staff who made everything perfect.”

“If i could give this place 10 stars i would! Well done! Best small mouth fishing ever! The most quaint peaceful area, both guests and staff were phenomenal! Met regulars who have been going to this hidden hidden gem for years and I can see why! If your looking for a great family fishing spot where you're kids can catch the fish of their lives this is the spot to go! Kid friendly beach access and you can even have your meals prepared for you by a fantastic chef who lives in house! If i could give this place 10 stars I really really would! I can't wait to go back! Thank you for a fantastic vacation in all my travels I have never had better service!”

“We had an amazing 5-night stay in Cabin #7 with the American Plan. Kaitlyn and all the staff were absolutely terrific and took the time to ensure we had a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Needless to say, the fishing was terrific! The cabin was spacious, clean, and comfortable. It had one bedroom with the king bed on the main floor, and the upper floor had two single beds (and room for two roll-away cots, which we did not use). Each floor had a spacious full bathroom, and a screened in deck/balcony. The cabin was very comfortable and was the last one in the row with some cleared space next to it, which was nice for our dog to play outside without disturbing our neighbours. The meals were fantastic! Breakfast, lunch, and dinner were served meals. There were a lot of options for breakfast each morning (eggs, French toast, pancakes, etc.) and bottomless coffee. Dinners were a different three-course set menu each night, and the portions were generous. We enjoyed the comfortable booth seating, which was helpful for us to contain our toddler. Overall, it was a great place to fish, explore & enjoy nature, and unplug from technology. We definitely will be returning when the kids are older and ready to catch some of their own fish!”

“What an amazing experience we had with our large group at Lake Obabika Lodge! The cabins are clean, private, and comfortable with a beautiful view of the lake. We had children with us and they had an amazing time swimming, fishing, and catching frogs, toads, leeches, and crayfish. The games room was excellent as well. Lots of room for them to run around and play and I was able to sit back and relax without having to worry about anything. The food was incredible and the staff did everything they could to accommodate our needs throughout our stay. Love the fire pit area with view of the lake. Gorgeous! We would love to return!”
